MISSION STATEMENT
St. John's Nursery School
offers an organized educational environment that focuses on the development of the "whole child". We strive to enhance the growth and development of each child’s social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical skills in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe each day brings opportunities for love, learning and laughter. We facilitate the child’s successful transition from home to school and partner with parents to develop the child’s independence, self-confidence, and love of learning, so each child has a solid foundation for continued success in future schooling.

OUR GOAL
OUR GOAL
Our primary goal is to foster the social, emotional and physical growth of each child. In addition, daily opportunities are provided for enrichment of the child’s intellectual and perceptual self. We encourage parent-teacher cooperation to promote growth at an individual level. St. John's follows a traditional preschool program: supervised free play, creative activities, story time, music, snack, circle time and field trips.
for all three of our children to thrive beyond preschool by providing a safe, loving, and positive environment
to grow emotionally and socially. It is much more than a school
- St. John’s is a wonderful community for families to create memories together. This is the first fall in 9 years that we won’t be making the ride over the mountain and we will miss our St. John’s family.”-

CREATIVE CURRICULUM
Our teachers use Creative Curriculum, a research and evidence based method that fosters decision making and critical thinking skills through both child and teacher directed activities. We believe that children learn best through play. Our teachers observe and take part in the children pretending, exploring, experimenting, and playing. Teachers are then able to ask children questions and expand their thinking. Teachers incorporate new skills such as identifying letters, mathematical concepts and literacy through play and experimentation, as well as daily small group interaction. We want children to be learners: to love to learn, to love their school environment, and to feel at ease in the classroom.
